A model won NetHack after 37,140 turns as a dwarf warrior.
OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra finished the 1987 dungeon game NetHack on 21 September, a first for a language model. Players call it unfinishable, and the model needed three campaigns and 37,140 turns. A hand-coded bot won back in 2015, so this is the first by a chat-style agent.
