Google put full song generation into the Gemini app for everyone.
Google moved its Lyria 3.5 music model into the Gemini app and the Gemini API on Friday. The model writes complete songs with verses and choruses instead of looping a short melody. Every track carries a hidden SynthID watermark, and the model refuses to copy a singer's voice.
Why it mattersMaking a finished song is now a free feature inside an app hundreds of millions already open. Google says it trained Lyria only on licensed music but has not said which music.
