The Pentagon clears Salesforce's AI agents to work on sensitive military data
Salesforce's Missionforce National Security platform has received Impact Level 5 authorization from the US Defense Department — the highest clearance for unclassified systems, covering Controlled Unclassified Information and national security systems data. It lets autonomous agents from the Agentforce 360 line run on defence logistics, recruit onboarding, personnel records and support for military families. The Army's Human Resources Command is the first customer, putting the agents on round-the-clock support for 9.2 million soldiers, veterans, civilian staff and family members. Salesforce announced the authorization on August 5 and Military Times reported the deployment plans on August 7. In July the Department of Veterans Affairs signed a separate three-year, $1.6 billion agreement for Salesforce agents.
