OpenAI will put ads beside the pictures you ask ChatGPT to draw.
OpenAI said on Monday it will test a new visual ad format inside ChatGPT's image generator. The test starts later this month with a few American advertisers, reaching a service 1.2 billion people use weekly. OpenAI says the ads stay labelled, sit apart from your picture and never change its answers.
Why it mattersAds already sit under some ChatGPT replies, and this pushes them into the part you watch most. If you use the free tier, expect brands beside your prompts, because paid plans stay advert-free.
