Fans finished rebuilding a 2001 game's source code with AI help.
Volunteers completed the C source code of the 2001 game Super Smash Bros Melee this week. The rebuilt code now compiles byte for byte into the same file Nintendo shipped. The project started in 2020, drew about 120 contributors and leaned on Claude and Astra late on.
