Six AI chiefs signed a safety pledge with no law behind it.

Trump gathered the heads of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, xAI and Nvidia on 29 September. They signed a one-page accord promising internal controls, outside auditors and board oversight. Nothing in it is enforceable, and Trump called the pledge morally binding.
