Anthropic's cheaper new Claude took first on an independent index.
Anthropic released Claude Opus 5.5 on Tuesday and cut the price by 20 percent. The independent tester Artificial Analysis then put it first on its own intelligence index. Anthropic says a typical job now costs about 40 percent less than before.
