Most Americans told pollsters that AI is bad for society.
An ABC News, Washington Post and Ipsos poll out Wednesday found 57% of Americans call AI bad for society. Opposition is sharpest close to home, with 72% against a new data centre in their own community. Adults under 30 are the most negative, and two in three say Washington is not regulating AI enough.
