AMD bought Fei-Fei Li's two-year-old lab for $8.2 billion in stock.
AMD agreed on Monday to buy World Labs, the physical AI startup Fei-Fei Li founded two years ago. It is AMD's second largest deal ever, behind only the $50 billion it paid for Xilinx. Li joins AMD as chief scientist, and the all-stock deal should close by year end.
