Figma now lets teams write the rules their AI agents must follow.
Design platform Figma launched Specs on Thursday at its Config conference in India. It is a shared document that sits next to designs, written in Markdown, the plain-text format coding agents read. It is in open beta on paid plans, and Figma's connector now works with 20 more AI tools.
Why it mattersIf you hand designs to a coding agent, Specs gives it your team's rules in one place. Figma's design chief says AI now writes 17 times more code, but releases grew only 1.3 times.
