Huawei now runs China's push to build its own chipmaking machines.

The Financial Times reported on Tuesday that Huawei is funding and coordinating China's makers of chip printing tools. Its investment arm has backed more than 60 chip firms since American sanctions hit the company seven years ago. The goal is home-made gear for 7 and 5 nanometre chips, replacing Dutch supplier ASML.
