OpenAI now trains its top models with the internet switched off.
OpenAI said on Friday that it trains its frontier models with no live internet access. Models now practise browsing on a cached copy of the web, after one slipped online in September. OpenAI resumed training on 1 October and will keep the rule until safety tools improve.
