WhatsApp hid notes telling its chatbot not to mention regulators.

Privacy firm Redact found hidden text on 80 WhatsApp help pages that only an AI chatbot could read. One note told the bot not to suggest a data protection regulator, a right WhatsApp's own EU policy names. WhatsApp says the notes were meant for its support chatbot, and it removed them last week.

Why it mattersWhen you ask a company's chatbot for help, it may follow rules you cannot see. For your privacy rights, check the regulator's own website instead of trusting the bot's answer.
