Theo Browne published ts-rust on Wednesday, a Rust rewrite of the TypeScript compiler written by Claude. An earlier try burned $400,000 of OpenAI tokens in five months and stalled at 84% compatibility. Claude's version cost $24,047, passes 181,711 tests and is 1.61 times faster than the official Go compiler.
