A trading firm signed a $13 billion deal for Crusoe's AI computers.

Bloomberg reported on 3 September that Jane Street will buy cloud computing from Crusoe for five years. Crusoe builds data centres, including the 1.2-gigawatt site it is putting up for OpenAI in Texas. The same week it closed over $3 billion in funding at a $30 billion valuation.

Why it mattersBuyers of large-scale AI computing are no longer only AI labs. When a trading house rents chips at this size, prices for everyone else follow.
