Apple's new watch listens all day and hands you a recap.
Apple gave the Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 an ambient listening feature called Siri Recap on Wednesday. Double-pressing the crown replays the last 15 seconds, and the daily summaries delete themselves after seven days. Apple says raw audio never leaves the chip, but people nearby are never asked.
Why it mattersThe wearer picks the setting, and everyone in the room ends up inside the summary. Apple built its brand on privacy, so this normalises always-on listening well beyond one watch.
