Anthropic told investors it turned a profit on nearly $17 billion.
Anthropic told prospective investors its third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion, the Financial Times and Bloomberg reported on Wednesday. That is about 45% more than the $11.5 billion it booked in the second quarter. It reported an adjusted profit, and its share sale could open the week of 9 November.
Why it mattersThe figures suggest a frontier AI lab can earn more than it spends, though "adjusted" leaves out some costs. These are the numbers that will set the price when ordinary investors can buy Anthropic shares.
