An AI-designed lung drug made patients' blood look years younger.

An AI-designed lung drug made patients' blood look years younger.

Insilico Medicine reported in Nature Biotechnology on Monday that its drug rentosertib lowered patients' predicted biological age. Six separate blood-protein age models from Harvard, Oxford and Peking University put treated patients up to 3.5 years younger. The authors call the result suggestive, not proof, because a treated lung could explain part of it.

Why it mattersAge-reversal claims usually come from supplement sellers, not from a placebo-controlled trial with published protein data. Forty-two patients over twelve weeks is still tiny, so read this as a signal, not a medicine.
