A Linux desktop now refuses code written by AI outright.
System76 merged a rule on 30 September banning AI-written code, comments and descriptions from COSMIC pull requests. Contributors must tick a box certifying no model wrote any part and that they understand their own change. Lead developer Jeremy Soller said such submissions arrived unplanned and were rarely accepted.
