Oracle filed a delay notice on a site it calls on schedule.
Oracle told the builder of a giant New Mexico data centre that power delays may push it late. The notice lets Oracle defer rent if the 2.45-gigawatt campus misses its 2028 opening. Oracle still calls the project on schedule, and its investor Blue Owl says the money is unchanged.
Why it mattersThe biggest AI data centres now depend on power grids that cannot be built as fast. When the electricity is late, the bill moves between companies but it does not disappear.
