Adobe will now generate the music, the voiceover and the door slam — and it says the licence covers you
Adobe moved three Firefly audio tools out of testing and into general release on 20 August. Generate Music, running on Adobe's own music model, produces original tracks cut to the length and mood of your video. Generate Speech turns a script into a voiceover with control over the voice, the pacing and the emotion, and can route through ElevenLabs instead if you prefer. Generate Sound Effects builds custom sounds timed to what is happening on screen. All three are cleared for commercial use — Adobe's pitch is that the music is universally licensed, so a video will not get taken down over the soundtrack. Adobe also added Google's Gemini Omni Flash to Firefly, which lets you prompt with video, audio and images alongside text and reshape a clip through back-and-forth edits. Everything runs in the Firefly desktop and mobile web app.
