Drones have shut both sites that house Yandex's AI supercomputers.

Russian tech giant Yandex said on Sunday that a drone attack shut its data centre in Vladimir, east of Moscow. It was the third Yandex site hit in four days, in strikes that media attribute to Ukraine. Vladimir and the Sasovo site hit on Thursday house the three supercomputers that train Yandex's AI models.

Why it mattersRussia has struck Ukrainian data centres too, so the machines behind AI are now military targets. Services that lean on a few big sites can go dark with them.
