Three days left: OpenAI will fund students to lead campus AI communities — no AI experience required
Who can apply: undergraduates aged 18+, enrolled as of August 2026 and graduating after December 2027, studying in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, India, Japan or South Korea. What you get: training, funding for events, ChatGPT access, Codex credits and a cash stipend; Campus Leads work in pairs about 4–6 hours a week from late August 2026 through June 2027. How to apply: at openai.com/student-collective by August 10, 11:59 p.m. Pacific — interviews follow this month. OpenAI says curiosity matters more than an AI portfolio.
Why it mattersThis is paid, hands-on community-building experience plus a direct line to OpenAI — the kind of item that stands out on a student CV. It's also the clearest sign yet that the labs' campus race has moved from courting researchers to recruiting undergraduates as local ambassadors.
