Fei-Fei Li's lab launched a world model with no paper and no price.
World Labs released Atlas on 1 September, a model that builds three-dimensional scenes from images and text. It renders video up to a minute long at 1440p with full camera control. There is no paper, no model card, no price and no named partner.
Why it mattersWorld models are how robots, games and design tools will gain a sense of space. Without outside checks, the company's own demos are the only evidence anyone has.
