ChatGPT now lets you lock private chats behind a PIN.
OpenAI began rolling out Locked Chats on Tuesday, on free and paid ChatGPT plans. Locked conversations move to a separate section that opens only with a four-digit PIN or Face ID. Forgetting the PIN deletes those chats for good, and locking adds no extra encryption.
Why it mattersIt helps when you hand your phone to a child or a friend. It does not hide your chats from OpenAI, so sensitive data still follows the same storage rules.
