Amazon will now pay a Chinese AI lab for every call to its model.
Amazon Bedrock added Z.ai's GLM-5.3 on Tuesday, and AWS will share revenue based on usage. It is the Beijing lab's flagship coding model, with a one-million-token context window. Z.ai has signed the same kind of deal with Alibaba Cloud and Huawei Cloud at home.
