Reuters reported on 5 September that both sides are arranging talks for mid-September. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent would lead the American side, and the agenda includes tracking AI-run cyberattacks. A White House official said no AI meeting is planned, and Trump meets Xi on 24 September.
