Google Play now runs private apps that you built with AI.
Google said on Tuesday that apps made with its AI Studio tool can now run privately through Google Play. No developer account is needed, and the apps never appear in the public store. It is rolling out to adults in the US and some other markets, with sharing among friends planned next.
Why it mattersYou can describe an app in plain words and keep it just for your own phone. If you later want to publish it, it must pass Google's usual safety review.
