Meta's glasses now stop recording if you cover the light
Alex Himel, who runs Meta's wearables division, announced the change on 27 August. The glasses already refused to start with the light covered, so people started first. This is the second fix in under seven weeks.
Why it mattersThat small light is the whole of consent for everyone not wearing the glasses. Every workaround is a hole in the only notice a bystander gets, not a product bug.
