An ex-Siri engineer put an AI agent inside your iMessage thread.
Nikhil Gupta, who worked on Siri, is launching szn, an agent that texts on your behalf. The agent gets its own name, phone number and email, and it can buy things for you. It opens in October and can reach your Apple notes, files and locations.
Why it mattersAn agent with its own phone number can be answered by people who never asked for it. Apple has not said whether it will allow a rival assistant inside its messaging app.
