Anthropic's founders own 2% each and want half the votes.
Anthropic has asked shareholders to give its seven founders a share class holding 50.1% of votes. Each founder owns roughly 2% of the company, and the new shares carry no extra money. The listing is now expected in late October or November at a target near $2 trillion.
Why it mattersPublic investors would buy the upside of the lab without a say in how carefully it moves. Whoever holds the votes decides what a safety rule is allowed to cost.
