OpenAI opened the voice model that listens while it talks.
OpenAI put GPT-Live-1, the model behind ChatGPT's voice mode, into its developer API on Thursday. It listens and speaks at once, scoring 80% on a turn-taking test where the old model got 45%. It costs five cents a minute, and Yelp already uses it to take bookings by phone.
