GitHub's cheaper coding router matched top quality in only one test.
GitHub opened Project HydraFusion inside Copilot on 4 September, a layer that picks a model per task. It beat Claude Opus 5 on one of three benchmarks and cost 67% less there. On the other two it scored slightly lower but still cost 36% and 65% less.
