An Ohio district built a sad chatbot for pupils to cheer up.
Dayton Public Schools pays the company SchoolAI for a chatbot named Jordan that sounds depressed. Jordan tells pupils it cannot see the point of anything, then grades how they reply. The district paid $72,600 last year and $78,650 this year, and staff can read the chats.
