A rock band lost the muse handle to Meta's new AI agent.
Meta launched its personal agent Muse on Tuesday under the muse names on Instagram and X. The British band Muse, which registered the trademark in 1999, now posts as museband. Meta has not explained how the accounts changed hands.
Why it mattersPlatforms decide who owns a name on their own turf, and the smaller party rarely wins. As firms name products after ordinary words, long-held accounts can be moved aside quietly.
