Anaconda buys Enkrypt AI — the startup that found 143,000 holes in the plumbing AI agents use
Python-platform company Anaconda acquired security startup Enkrypt AI on Tuesday for an undisclosed sum. Enkrypt red-teams models across more than 300 attack categories, adds runtime guardrails and automates compliance with frameworks like NIST and the EU AI Act. Its headline stat: in two months it scanned 268,000 tools across 25,000 MCP servers — the connectors agents use to reach other software — and found over 143,000 vulnerabilities, affecting 73% of those servers.
Why it mattersThe pipes AI agents run through are turning out to be the weakest link in enterprise AI, and consolidation has begun: platform companies would rather buy the security layer than build it. That 73% figure is a reminder of how much agent infrastructure is still unaudited.
