Meta's new $349 smart glasses ship without a camera.
Meta unveiled Ray-Ban Meta Audio on Wednesday, its first smart glasses without a camera. They cost $349, reach shops on 13 October and handle music, calls, live translation and Meta's Muse assistant. Meta also showed $1,300 VR glasses for 2027 and a pocket gadget for talking to Muse in December.
Why it mattersCamera glasses have drawn years of privacy complaints, and this pair cannot film anyone. An assistant you only talk to is an easier sell on a bus or in a classroom.
