Hidden white text rewrote the AI summary of an email
Forcepoint's X-Labs unit published the experiment on 25 August. They hid instructions in an ordinary email using HTML with zero font size and white text. All ten trials produced a corrupted summary, one inflating an invoice fivefold.
Why it mattersInbox summarising is now a default feature and the one place people stop reading the original. An AI summary of anything with money, dates or names is a starting point, not a record.
