Amazon shares hit a record high, pushing its market value past $3 trillion for the first time and making it the fifth company ever to cross the line, after Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia and Alphabet. The rally followed a quarter in which AWS grew 37% — its fastest pace in 18 quarters — to an annualized run rate of $169 billion, and Amazon said its AI services and its chip business have each passed $25 billion in annualized revenue.
