Schools buy AI chatbots that almost nobody has tested on children.
A Stanford review found that of more than 800 studies on AI in schools, only 20 proved anything. None of those 20 watched American school children using AI in their own classrooms. One Ohio district still pays about $78,000 a year for a chatbot that talks to pupils.
Why it mattersYour child may be the study, because the district bought the tool before the proof arrived. Ask the school what it measured, not what the seller promised.
