Canada is paying for a free AI course for a million students.
Canada opened a free national AI course to universities and colleges on Monday. The course runs three hours, is backed by 13 million Canadian dollars, and targets one million students. A second stream will train more than 50,000 school teachers.
Why it mattersMost AI training is sold by the companies selling AI, and this one is public and free. If it works, other governments will copy the shape of it.
