Washington calls Australia's algorithm off-switch censorship.
The US embassy in Canberra filed an objection on Tuesday to Australia's draft online safety bill. It called the plan extraterritorial censorship and asked that American platforms be left out. The bill would make the big platforms offer a feed with no recommendations in it.
