A third of a new ultraviolet sky map was predicted, not measured.
Anthropic published an all-sky ultraviolet map on Thursday, built by astrophysicist Brice Ménard with its Claude Science agents. The agents merged about 38,000 observations from the GALEX space telescope, then predicted the third it never observed. Predictions landed within about 10% of real data in tests, and Ménard calls this a first version.
