Microsoft plans to triple the power its data centres draw by 2032.
Bloomberg reported on Thursday that Microsoft aims to run 38 gigawatts of data centres by 2032. It runs about 12 gigawatts today, and the share reserved for AI would grow from 2 gigawatts to a third. The figure excludes capacity Microsoft rents from others, and building at this scale takes years.
