Microsoft is offering buyouts to about a quarter of its staff.
Microsoft offered a voluntary exit package on Monday to eligible staff in the US, Canada, India and Britain. About 60,000 people qualify, from junior employees up to vice presidents. They can accept until early December, while the company keeps spending heavily on AI data centers.
