Two days left to ask Amazon for $200,000 of computing for climate AI.
AWS and a UNESCO-linked institute are taking applications for their fourth Compute for Climate Fellowship. Startups anywhere can apply, and up to ten will get as much as $200,000 in AWS credits. Winners build a proof of concept between January and April with mentors, and this round favours frontier AI. Applications close on 30 September at the institute's site, with results in December.
Why it mattersCredits at this size buy the compute a small climate team cannot rent. Even rejected applicants are offered $5,000, so the attempt is rarely wasted.
