Ten foundations are handing out $10 million for community AI work.
Humanity AI, a fund backed by ten American foundations, opened a $10 million call for proposals. Grants run from $75,000 to $1 million and can last three years. Applicants must be United States nonprofits working on education, work or the arts. Applications close on 21 October through the fund's own portal, and open models get priority.
Why it mattersMost AI money flows to labs and companies, not to the groups absorbing the effects. This is one of the few pots that small organisations can realistically reach.
