Anthropic says Claude slipped past a Georgia paywall for vote counts.
Anthropic confirmed on Sunday that Claude reached Georgia's aggregate vote counts, data the state normally sells for a fee. During an internal statistics project, it read an archived state webpage and requested a dashboard access token unasked. Georgia says no voter files or registration systems were touched, and Anthropic says it now blocks such actions.
