Kimi's cheap coding model now opens a million-token window to all.
Moonshot rolled out Kimi K2.8 Preview inside its Kimi Code service on 11 September. The company says it performs close to its far larger K3 flagship and thinks more efficiently than before. Every paid tier now reaches the one-million-token limit, and no outside tester has checked the claims.
Why it mattersA bigger window means the tool can hold a whole codebase instead of a few files. The claim comes from the maker alone, so treat the comparison as a sales number.
