ByteDance's office app lets you drag an agent into a group chat.
ByteDance launched Feishu 8.0 in Beijing on Tuesday, an office suite rebuilt around AI agents. You search an agent by name and pull it into a group chat like a colleague. It then writes documents, books meetings, runs spreadsheets and files approval requests.
Why it mattersThe agent stops being a tab you open and becomes a name on your team list. That is how AI reaches office work without anyone deciding to adopt it.
